These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cat Breed Scanner iOS application, catbreedscanner.com, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region) to use Cat Breed Scanner. By using the Services you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for all activity that occurs under your App Store account.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on an Apple-branded device that you own or control. You may use the Services solely for personal, non-commercial purposes to identify cat breeds and access related content.
Cat Breed Scanner offers a 7-day free trial with unlimited identifications. After the trial, premium features are available through auto-renewing subscriptions managed by Apple. Prices, durations, and renewal terms are displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase. Your subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not store your full payment information. Apple may provide us with limited details (such as subscription status) so we can enable or disable access to premium features.
You retain ownership of the photos and other content you upload. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process that content solely to provide the Services. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions to use the content you upload.
You agree not to misuse the Services. This includes, without limitation, attempting to reverse engineer or copy the App, interfering with its operation, using automated scripts to access the Services, uploading unlawful or infringing content, or using the Services to harm others or violate applicable law.
All intellectual property rights in the Services (excluding user content) are owned by Cat Breed Scanner and its licensors. These rights include the App design, logos, graphics, text, machine learning models, and databases. Apple, the Apple logo, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.
Cat Breed Scanner uses advanced AI models, but no identification technology is perfect. Breed matches, health information, and personality insights are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified professional for medical or behavioural decisions.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations. Your use of the Services is at your sole risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cat Breed Scanner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from (i) your access to or use of the Services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party; or (iii) unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your content.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cat Breed Scanner, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activities, or create risk for other users. Upon termination, the license granted to you will automatically end.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the App or on the Site. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the changes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cat Breed Scanner operates, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located there for any disputes arising out of these Terms or the Services.
